STRIVE

I started teaching a class at church on Wednesday nights for kids ages 11 and 12 called "STRIVE." Last night was my first class and it went great. I was afraid that I was going to get my expectations to high and end up disappointed, but God blessed me with all I wanted the class to be and more. I was able to prepare well and get everything together with ease. The kids were so excited to finally see what I had in store for them, after Brandon and I built up such a hype about it they were very curious to see what was going on. I took them into our newly painted room and they were so thrilled. I had snacks and drinks prepared and a fun object lesson that got them interested from the very beginning. I did my first devotion on living a life for Christ and I really challenged them to put God first in everything they do. They listened really well and I think they were really challenged. I know this is where God wants me at this time in my life and I am excited to see Him work in the lives of these children through me. Pray for us as we strive for excellence in Christ Jesus.
