one tear in the driving rain...

No matter what life throws at me there is always something worse right around the corner. I recently experenced the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with in my life. God has shown me the grace for each moment as I seek Him for direction. I don't like not knowing, how to handle a situation or what direction God want's me to take. God has shown me no matter what life brings me or what struggles I face He cares and hears my prayers when I cry to Him.

I have struggled with the thought, how can the God of the universe care for me when there are so many other people in the world. The song "Hold my Heart" by Tenth Avenue North captures my heart on this one.

"One tear in the driving rain, One voice in a sea of pain.

Could the maker of the stars hear the sound of my breaking heart?

On another note:

We had a great time on the leadership retreat. It was good to get away and relax at the cabin with goods friends. I look forward to the retreat every year and this one was a lot of fun.

We had our first STRIVE party on Sunday. It was a huge success! I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to prepare for it because I made the mistake of planning it the same weekend as the retreat. It turned out great thanks to the help of my dear friends. I think everyone had fun and can't wait until our next party.
