Tapeinos ~ Humble

I don't think I have experienced humility like our family has experienced it this year. God has blessed my family beyond measure this Christmas. Since my dad lost his job back in July our family knew we were not going to be able to give or get very much this year. God gave me a joy, and I knew that God would make this year special inspite of the lack of gifts under out Christmas tree. It was humbling to not be able to afford gifts for others, and to know that our parents were not going to be able to afford gifts for us. However; the most humbling thing about it was that there were others prompted by God to bless us tremendously. Because of the blessings of others this Christmas is not going to be lacking.

I believe God blesses a humble heart, and this Christmas I am humbled by the love of others and the provisions that the Lord has made. It is so amazing to me how God cares for even our wants and not only needs. My God loves me! My God is able! My God is mighty!
